The Helping Hands Project is a truly unique opportunity for organizations to get involved with a worthwhile cause at the same time as super-charging employee engagement.

Helping Hands is about changing lives. It is more than just a team building or training activity. It’s about accessing the potential of your hands, heads and hearts to build a better team, better organizations and a better world.

In a Helping Hands session, participants will be building prosthetic hands that are then donated to amputee landmine victims throughout the developing world.

The program teaches your group to model true collaboration, commitment and quality – borne from a deeper sense of caring. The activity empowers every participant in just a few hours to make a real and lasting contribution and in doing so, reminds people what it feels like to be engaged in a truly purposeful activity.

Twenty years of facilitation, training, human resources support, organizational developing and coaching is behind every Helping Hands program and transforms the experience into a developmental process that connects to who you are, where you are going and how you will get there.  One of our Facilitators will work with you to further customize the program.  You won’t believe what can be done in two to four hours when you engage your hands, heads and hearts.

It is a gratifying feeling, (and humbling), to know that such a small effort can have such a large impact in a person’s life.

Building the hand today was a far more satisfying experience than I could have imagined and so impactful for someone with such a need.

One of the most touching workshops I have ever been involved with. I went home that night and shared the activity with my family who were equally touched. I really enjoyed seeing the conviction of my colleagues during this exercise, we were all so engaged and determined to make a difference, ie, make the “hand” and can hardly wait to hear more about the person it will benefit.

This was more than just a teambuilding activity, this was about fellowship and helping our common man and woman, thoroughly enjoyed the exercise and the whole day. Glad to be part of a company that truly cares about others in so many different ways!!

The highlight of the day for everyone was the Helping Hands session. People felt very proud and emotional about making a difference – it was a very poignant reminder about what is really important in life, and that we have the opportunity to really help people.

It was an incredible experience that was rich in emotion.  Knowing that you can make a difference and that we can make a life better is a very nice experience to live.

I LOVED this team building activity.  I feel very strongly about giving back and doing what you can to do your part in the world.  Excellent idea.  Even having done it, I would do it again happily on other occasions and opportunities.  Would love to see more philanthropic initiatives!  Thank you for bringing this to us!

This was the most inspiring teambuilding activity I have ever done. I have participated in many community driven volunteering days, but never felt like this one. Even though we don’t know who the person that will benefit from this mechanical hand. I felt I was making a difference for someone. Thank you Shelley for organizing this event!
